Veðrið is used by people traveling around Iceland who want a clear view of conditions before setting out.
We use advertising to help pay for the servers, domains, and services needed to run the app, website, and public API. Subscribers do not see ads in the app.
Who uses the app?
Travelers, drivers, and weather enthusiasts.
Advertising in Veðrið is best suited to travel, rural services, equipment, safety, weather, and other things people may need while on the road.

- Stores, repair shops, gas stations, and services for travelers.

Sizes and formats
What format?
The ad space is at the bottom of the app and must remain clear on small screens. By agreement, we can display an image ad or a simple text-and-image combination.
- A 16:9 or very wide image that can be scaled and cropped cleanly works best.
- A wide version of 1200 × 300 px or larger is recommended.
- Use PNG, JPG, or WebP for the image. Keep text large and brief.
- Before publication begins, we need the destination URL, display month, advertiser name, and payment.
- An ad must not resemble an official warning, road sign, or emergency message.
Web widget and API
More than an app.
Businesses and individuals can also use the data directly. The web widget displays live stations as a blue sign, and the API is free to use. Both are ad-free.
